Collaboration in a flat organisation

Happy New Year 2019 for everyone!  We here at Nordcloud have a strong feeling that this year is going to be even better than last year - more dreams to be filled and goals achieved! 

It is time for the first Nordcloudian Story of 2019 so let's share our Cloud Architect Dragoș Bacîtea's thoughts: 

1. Where are you from and how did you end up at Nordcloud? My name is Dragos and I’m from Romania. I started my career by working at a local TV company selling subscriptions and moved my way up to a Global Project & Program Coordinator & Management role at Atos. I considered my management expertise was enough for one of my goals so I started working in the technical field as a Linux Administrator. From there my career took me to Microsoft where I worked for 1.5 years (from support to Technical Cloud Engineer). I then got introduced to Nordcloud and saw it as a great opportunity as a smaller company in Amsterdam! One of my goals in my career was to be a Cloud Solution Architect and Nordcloud’s relaxed culture attracted me as it was a good combination of nice colleagues and a great learning opportunity. 2. What is your core competence? Azure Solution Architecture.  3.What do you like most about working at Nordcloud? I really love the fact that we are a flat company, that gives us more chances to hang out more and to collaborate on different projects on different levels. 4.What is the most useful thing you have learned at Nordcloud? Team work is very important and at Nordcloud I see all the colleagues help each other. You can count on them.  5.What sets you on fire/What’s your favourite thing technically with public cloud ? I’m keen on taking my Microsoft certifications and gaining more overall knowledge in the Cloud/Programming area.  6.What do you do outside work? I love travelling, driving my car in any part of the day, camping in the wilderness and getting to know new cultures and languages.
