Make Your Business a Cloud Business.
A Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE) is a core team of cloud champions who spearhead best practices
Having a CCoE centralises cloud competencies to provide a shared service feeling, rather than having pockets of experience spread across the business.
Nordcloud specialists can act as your CCoE, embedding best practice and driving sustainable cloud adoption. But we also empower your teams, nurturing them as we navigate the implementation journey. That way, your champions are engaged in and driving the change. After all, cloud is more than just new technology, it’s new operating models and governance, too.
We help you build a CCoE based on 3 core pillars: Governance, Brokerage and Community. You therefore have a strong foundation for scaling cloud adoption and driving value.

The CCoE helps manage change from the inside out, facilitating knowledge and code sharing, training and collaboration. That way, the organisation has a focal point for troubleshooting, testing and cooperation. Nordcloud experts help you embed and spearhead best practices, so you build a community eager to capitalise on the cloud.

Guide.
Increase ROI from your Cloud Centre of Excellence
There are so many technologies, barriers, people and processes involved in driving value from cloud adoption, that you can easily get caught up in firefighting.
Then, one day, you wake up and realise you’ve strayed from the path leading directly to business value. You have a Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE) that’s supposed to keep you on that path, but despite their best efforts you’re stuck in a chasm between having technology ready to use and the need to drive fast, cost effective innovation.
Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE) FAQ.
A cloud centre of excellence (CCoE) is a team that leads and guides the adoption, strategy and governance of cloud computing technologies within an organisation. Establishing a CCoE is considered to be best practice for mid-to-large sized organisations looking to drive cloud transformation.
According to Gartner, the three pillars of a CCoE should be:
- Governance – a CCoE should provide clear processes, policies and standards around cloud computing technology
- Brokerage – a CCoE should source and integrate the best possible cloud-based solutions to suit the organisation’s business needs
- Community – A CCoE should consist of cloud experts who help others in the organisation get the best from cloud-based technologies through support, guidance and training
A CCoE should be a small team of experts, agile enough to make decisions quickly. A CCoE is cross-functional, so personnel will need to be able to represent the concerns of management, IT, key business units and end users.
Cloud adoption is a complex process, requiring careful navigation and ongoing governance to ensure organisations continue to derive optimal benefits from the technology. Establishing a CCoE means an organisation has an internal team of experts to govern and manage cloud-based initiatives, ensuring they remain secure, cost effective, and in alignment with the company’s business goals.
According to AWS there are three types of CCoE:
- Functional CCoE – a small, focused team that helps drive action and catalyse delivery on cloud-based projects
- Advisory CCoE – a team of advisors setting policy standards and offering guidance and best practice on cloud-based initiatives
- Prescriptive CCoE – provides leadership and planning for teams carrying out cloud projects within an organisation – generally found in highly regulated industries.
