The existing technical infrastructure involved the e-commerce platform Magento in an on-premise servers environment, managed in-house. Issues involved developer resources, uptime risk, and slow page loading times.

Migration

Nordcloud chose Google Kubernetes Engine as a target platform for Magento migration and created a service to put next to Magento so that it could auto-scale its catching layer.

Scalability

The next stage was to build another service (sw) to make the catching layer of Magento scalable without the need of refactoring Magento.

Mersenne’s client saw a significant improvement in Core Web Vitals page speed metrics on top revenue driving category pages.
