To support our local & global community, we are now looking for an Office and Community Manager in TheNetherlands.

Nordcloud is a young and driven organization with offices spread throughout Europe. Over a course of 10 years, Nordcloud has become a leading player when it comes to the cloud in many (European) countries including the Nordics, UK, PL, and The Netherlands.
The organization is spread in a global model over the different countries, but there are strong local communities based around our offices.

The local NL team has grown rapidly, and as such Nordcloud Amsterdam is looking for an Office and Community Manager to help strengthen our local community and take a part in shaping this going forward.

As an Office and Community Manager, your main responsibility is to ensure that the local organization is an environment where people are empowered to grow and work on interesting projects. Even though our teams on average work a lot from home. They regularly check in the office. Not because they’re required to do so, but because they want to be there. It is a comfortable and safe place where they get to meet and collaborate with their colleagues. You will play a large role in this.

When new colleagues have their first day in the office, you are most likely the first face they’ll meet. If at a certain point in time their journey takes them elsewhere than Nordcloud, you are probably the last person they’ll see. This means that you support the onboarding of new colleagues, and help them land safely in the organization. Additionally, you’ll help with the offboarding activities of leavers.

As Office and Community Manager, you’re responsible for our office and support in different processes to make sure everything runs smoothly and the community develops further.

A few of the things you’ll be responsible for:

  •  All office, hospitality, and facility-related matters.
  •  On- and offboarding of colleagues.
  • Manage visum and tax-related matters for our team.
  • Play an active and driving role in internal activities.
  • Be a part of our initiatives when it comes to the external community, like organizing meetups, participating in conferences or partner events.
  • Contribute to a nice atmosphere among colleagues and in the office and be the go-to person for office and facility-related requests

To be successful in the role, you should:

  • Have previous experience in international working environments and customer service
  • Possess basic IT systems knowledge
  • Have good knowledge and experience from being a point of contact for employees as well as external stakeholders
  •  Have the ability to develop and modernize processes
  • Speak Dutch and English fluently
  • Have a good understanding of GDPR and other safety matters
  • Have enthusiastic and clear presentation style
