Job Role and Responsibilities - Business Development Manager

Business Development Managers at Nordcloud are exclusively focused on bringing new logos. The main focus is to win new business. This will be achieved by mapping, connecting with and pitching to new clients. You will be serving as a strategic partner to high-level executives forging new business relationships for Nordcloud with non-client organizations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and calling new business prospects while always maintaining a healthy-looking pipeline
  • Complete accountability and ownership of the sales cycle from prospection to closure.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets for the allocated territory.
  • Closing new business deals and on-boarding new clients
  • You may be all about the hunt, but you’ll collaborate closely with our Account Executives to ensure a smooth transition of accounts and long term value for our clients.
  • Developing and growing a network of key contacts across clients at all levels
  • Be the trusted advisor to the customer by developing a deep understanding of target customers’ business
  • Implement solution-based and challenger approaches to selling while managing complex sales processes.
  • Ensure that new clients implement strategies that maximises Nordclud’s value proposition, including infrastructure, application and consulting portfolio
  • Work closely with our partners at Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform
  • Provide timely and insightful market feedback to other functional teams including product management and marketing
  • Present Nordcloud at events and in the media by attending trade shows and special events

Minimum requirements

  • 5+ years’ B2B/B2B2C Sales experience within the area of IT Consulting / Technology.
  • Proven ability to Solution Sell, empathize and develop customized value propositions for clients and prospects
  • A stellar track record of closing new business at or above quota
  • Experience building strategic business partnerships with enterprise customers
  • Experience from adopting the Challenger sales methodology in all client interactions
  • Drive, passion and team spirit 
  • Experience from working directly with C-level stakeholders and senior IT executives
  • Experience with enterprise RFP and complex sales processes
  • Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high growth and rapidly changing environment
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent preferred (Business, Engineering, Computer Sciences)
  • Customer-first attitude and experience in serving large-scale customers
  • Fluent English and local language is a big plus.
  • Willingness to travel

These things would be considered as a big plus

  • Experience in Cloud Services technical offering, processes and tools
  • Public cloud experience (AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform)

The position will be based in either Stockholm, Gothenburg or the Jönköping office with a requirement to travel to attend client sites, conferences, and other engagements.
