Managed Cloud Database Administrator

We are digital builders born in the cloud and currently, we are looking for a Managed Cloud Database Administrator.

As our new Managed Cloud Database Administrator you will join our Managed Cloud DBA Team – a group of database professionals with years of experience from various data platforms and industries. In the role of Managed Cloud DBA, you’ll be supporting our customers to manage their cloud workloads and working closely with our cloud architects and Managed Cloud engineers to build a reliable DBA service.

Your daily work:

• Supporting our customers to manage their cloud workloads
• Working closely with our cloud architects and Managed Cloud engineers to build a reliable DBA service
• Helping our customers manage their data assets in the public cloud platforms
• Migrating database workloads to the cloud
• Performing health checks and performance tuning of databases
• Building solutions to automate the DBA Service
• Taking part in modernization projects for existing customers

Your skills and attributes of success: 

• Expertise in database administration in SQL Server or Oracle
• Skills in supporting database high availability solution
• Skills in various database migrations
• Experience from working directly with the external customers
• Skills in automation and scripting
• Fluent communication skills in English

Your super-powers (we’d consider any of these as a big plus):

• Skills with MySQL, DB2, and other DB engines
• Skills with NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
• Skills with Terraform or Ansible
• Skills in performance tuning databases schemas, indexes, and queries
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
