Cloud Security Architect

As a Cloud Security Architect, you’ll find yourself helping customers to manage their cloud security via end-to-end automation, auditing, and threat management. You will design secure public cloud implementations and drive the development of Nordclouds’ managed security service. Ideally, you will also be able to help customers implement cloud-ready security operations.


    • Have an appetite and a deep understanding of IT security from operating system hardening to penetration testing processes.
    • Are familiar with relevant global standards like ISO 27001, ISO 27017, and PCI DSS.
    • Have context understanding of one or more local, or industry-specific security standards like BDSG, TISAX, AFM & DNB, EBA.
    • Have several years of industry expertise and experience in public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and/or Google) or working in a software development environment is a definite plus.
    • Are familiar with networking fundamentals down to core networking concepts.
    • Are familiar with enterprise IT technical architectures.
    • Are also fluent in some scripting languages.
    • Have an understanding of security in web applications, databases, and software development processes.
    • Have experience with automation engines like configuration management, infrastructure as code, or automated testing.
    • Are fluent in English.
    • Have good social skills and a customer service attitude.
    • At least one cloud platform security offering knowledge in depth.
    • Relevant Security Certification (examples: CISSP, CCSP, CCSK?!?).
    • Capability to self-study, and learn new things.

    As Cloud Security Architect you will be responsible for:

    • Advising our customers on how to adopt the best possible service composition of public cloud-based services and tools related to networking and security.
    • Facilitate and lead conversations with the clients, regardless of their technical or C-level non-technical stakeholder.
    • Managing host security solutions for our customers.
    • Contributing to the development of new products and offerings.
    • Deploying and managing security tools solutions for customers.
    • Fulfilling customer requests related to networking, firewalls, including troubleshooting and configuration as part of project delivery.
    • Contributing to the internal toolbox that helps us improve our processes, manage our/clients’ infrastructure, and scale the systems.
